Posts Tagged ‘shrug’

As we head further into Autumn, and we need to pull out some warmer clothing, it is increasingly apparent that my girls need some knitty love from their Mum, and I think this needs to be in the form of a shrug.

Shrugs are such versatile little garments, and can be worn over a number of different tops and dresses: long-sleeved; short-sleeved; sleeveless; strapless etc. Shrugs can be lightweight and pretty, or thicker for warmth….and still pretty 😉 This pattern, Puffy Sleeved Shrug (which happens to be my own design), is somewhere in between.

I think this will be a fantastic addition to the girls’ wardrobes, as it adds a wonderfully girly touch to an outfit with its puffed sleeves. I think it will look great over a top and teamed with a skirt, leggings, and some funky boots.

The hardest thing will be deciding on yarn and colour I think! Hopefully all these examples below will provide some inspiration. These were all created by a bunch of wonderfully talented ladies during the testing phase of my pattern, and are all absolutely beautiful xx

What do you think will make a great addition to a little girls’ wardrobe this Autumn/Winter?

My entry into Just Something I Whipped Up sponsored by Appliances Online and the Bosch Washing Machines, .

I have had a few enquiries about this, and as yet only one serious request, but thought I’d address this here, for those who may be considering asking the same question.
In short, YES!! I do offer a cottage license for Puffy Sleeved Shrug, and will also offer them for any other patterns of mine…current and future!
Basically, I offer 2 simple versions: Limited, and Unlimited.
A limited license allows the knitter to produce, and sell, 5 items from the pattern in an unlimited timeframe.
It could be 5 in one month, 5 in one year, or 5 in the lifetime of their knitting adventures…simple.
Cost is AU$20
An unlimited license is a lifetime license, and allows the knitter to produce, and sell, an unlimited number of items from my pattern, for a one time fee of AU$45.
Some gorgeous projects, completed from my
Puffy Sleeved Shrug pattern
So what’s the catch? The offer applies only to WAHM business/hobby knitters who sell at markets, small online stores, Facebook pages, blogs etc. This is not intended for commercial mass production. I want to support the little people, not big business. Cool?
Also, I expect the knitter to always credit me as the designer, and NEVER claim the pattern to be their own. If you make modifications to the design, make a note of them in the listing please.
Simple? That is the way it is intended 🙂
So how do you obtain a license agreement for this gorgeous little shrug? Easy!
Purchase the pattern, if you haven’t already done so. You can do this buy hitting the “Buy Now” button to the right (this will help you pay by PayPal) and download the pattern.
OR, if you are on Ravlery, you can purchase the pattern there.
Find my email address at the end of the pattern, and shoot me an email with your enquiry.
Ahhh, nothing feels better than starting from scratch….and that is exactly what I am doing with this blog!
My old blog was getting a bit tired, and I was really not that into it, so it was neglected.
Recently my creative mojo returned, and I have been enjoying my knitting and dyeing again. So much so that I designed a pattern, and have released it on Ravlery.
It is called “Puffy Sleeved Shrug”, and, well, the name says it all really.
This also prompted me to get back into blogging, so that I can showcase my work.
This space will now be the focus of my creative ventures, be it knitting, dyeing, baking etc, and will also act as a store for items I wish to sell, in order to continue funding my hobbies.
Watch this space 🙂
