Excitement is building around here about my 30th Birthday. My party is now only 2 weeks away, and I have been busily sourcing recipes, servingware, and decorations to make the party as beautiful as I can. For those who may not know, I am celebrating in style, hosting a High Tea for between 30-35 people at my sister’s house.
I have previously blogged about the invitations I made, Β and I recently shared photos of my gorgeous collection of crystal, china, and silverware on my Facebook page. The response was amazing, so I thought I would also share here.

This collection is a combination of new, second-hand, vintage, and borrowed pieces, some of which belonged to some special ladies such as my Great-grandmother, a Great Aunt, and hubby’s Grandma and Nanna.

Enjoy xx

We have had a really wet start to winter, and as a result the kids have been stuck indoors quite a bit.
To brighten up their day, we had a tea party this afternoon, complete with Bohemia Crystal, Fine Bone China, muffins, and Oreos! The girls loved it πŸ™‚

Ok, so this is what it all looked like. I used coloured metal buckets, paper doilies, glass jars, streamers and tissue paper from the local discount stores; a cupcake stand borrowed from my sister; a chrome 2 tier cake stand I got on eBay; and a glass cake stand that belonged to my husbands Nanna.

The cake board is just a standard one that I purchased a few years ago. Every time I use it, I cover it to suit the theme. This time I have used wrapping paper, and clear contact. It is also sitting on an upturned serving bowl.

For fun and games we had a Rainbow Pinata that was hanging in the garage. We were going to hang it up outside, but it rained 😦 We also had a home-made ‘pin the cloud on the rainbow’ that was a hit!

…..and I don’t mean that way-too-skinny-married-to-a-soccer-player-who-sounds-like-a-girl chick either ;-p

I’m talking about High Tea. My High Tea for my 30th in fact. It is sill a while away (early July), but I have been madly pinning a whole heap of ideas as aI come across them, and thought it was about time a shared a few.

Enjoy πŸ™‚
